Ministry says Russian bread market situation stable, no price jump

MOSCOW, Aug 8 (PRIME) -- The situation on the Russian bread market is stable with no dramatic price changes, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Thursday, when the Federal State Statistics Service said that bread and bakery prices grew 8.7% on the year in July.

“The Russian Agriculture Ministry is constantly monitoring prices on the key food markets. The price growth on bread products as compared to the last year is below inflation for some items, while it exceeds it for others. The growth of retail bread prices has also roughly corresponded to inflation since the year start,” the ministry said.
